I wrote something for Groot, but must have accidentally deleted it before publishing. Short version: He was gimmicky. I really liked the gimmick — and if you didn’t get a little choked up at “we are Groot” at the end of Guardians, I don’t know what to tell you — but it had diminishing returns. Still, it was noble to make his arm into an ax handle.
