That’s the information bubble problem, and afflicts the entire internet-age media landscape. People tend to consume information from sources they agree with and get limited exposure to sources they disagree with (and when they do, it’s often a weak argument someone’s mocking, as with a Twitter dunk).

Information bubbles are contributing to a lot of our political challenges, and social media makes them worse.
