That’s not quite accurate. Both of Bush’s nominees came in his second term, and in 2004 he won 50.7% of the popular vote.

You’re right that Bush became president in 2000 while losing the popular vote — and right about Trump’s three nominees, of course — but there weren’t any Supreme Court openings in Bush’s first term.
