That’s a clever idea. I was thinking of it in terms of analyzing a given video to see if it’s fake or not, but you’re describing it more as establishing a record of existing video. Considering that deep fakes alter existing video rather than create a new one from scratch, employing blockchain could do a lot to address the problem.

There’d still be the problem of older video. But it would reduce the ability to use new video to create fakes, which would make a difference.
