I’ll partially disagree on the Caesar point, in that the play is its own entity, separate from the history. In the context of the play, killing Caesar leads to calamity, especially for the people who conspire to kill him.

As for Fight Club, Tyler sucks. All of him. Ed Norton and Brad Pitt aren’t the only two options in life. It’s a dark satire, and Tyler and his followers are the object of derision. The narrator’s moroseness is miserable, but the lunatic way of dealing with it is not a good thing.
