I’d prefer effort to reduce the probability of long-term risks, not just “adapting to climate change with minimal disruption,” though I think adaptation is an essential component of any smart response.

However, no matter what policy we pursue, I strongly believe factual accuracy is valuable for its own sake, and that honestly presenting climate science is the best path towards creating the political will for a meaningful response. Clearly, others disagree.
