A direct quote in context cannot possibly be a distortion. And I wrote that those misrepresenting the science are likely doing so deliberately because “they think hyperbole is necessary to motivate people to action,” which is exactly what you’re advocating. So that can’t be the distortion either.
As best I can tell, you disagree with my argument in favor of honestly discussing climate science because you believe inaccurately presenting the information is a better way to go. That’s fine. Nothing wrong with disagreement. But at least be honest with yourself about what you’re advocating.
